Project description
A newbuild health centre funded through an NHSE business case approval process with contributions from the Trust and Integrated Care Board.
A two-storey traditional construction on an urban brownfield site, providing 6 consulting rooms, 3 treatment rooms, clinical ancillary spaces, generous staff areas and external works.
The site and context presented numerous challenges and opportunities such as underground services dictating the shape of the building, complex highways work and approval processes, and 3rd party agreements. Construction took place on a tight site with restricted access while maintaining 24/7 shared access for an adjacent NHS service which required discretion and sensitivity with regard to its use.
