Project description

Inner city newbuild university campus sports complex providing specialist spaces and high-tech facilities for teaching, student and staff, community, and public use.

Kevin led the brief formulation and sketch schemes prior to engagement of a full design team. He was the lead for stakeholder engagement during the project and client-side project manager from inception to completion liaising closely with architect and design team and main contractor.

Areas of interest

• Striking design: 5 storey element faced in perforated metal cladding with abstract design based on the historic street network. Single storey sports halls faced in blue/silver multi-bricks. Bold presence in the city.

• Multi-use sports hall and dedicated basketball court for national league standard, home of Team Solent Kestrels.
